Retatrutide is a once-weekly peptide that switches on three receptors from a single molecule: GLP-1, GIP and glucagon. The two incretin receptors lower appetite and slow how quickly the stomach empties, while the glucagon arm lifts energy expenditure and pushes the liver toward burning fat. In Eli Lilly’s Phase 3 TRIUMPH program it produced average weight reductions near 28% at the higher doses, the largest yet reported for an injectable of this class.

Preparing and storing: supplied as a freeze-dried powder. Add bacteriostatic water down the inside wall of the vial and swirl gently rather than shaking. Keep the mixed vial in the fridge and out of light; sealed vials keep longest in the freezer.
