Botulinum toxin type A is a purified neurotoxin that blocks the release of acetylcholine, the signal that tells a muscle to contract. In tiny, targeted amounts it relaxes specific muscles, which is the basis of both wrinkle and clinical muscle work.
Preparing and storing: supplied as a freeze-dried powder. Add bacteriostatic water down the inside wall of the vial and swirl gently rather than shaking. Keep the mixed vial in the fridge and out of light; sealed vials keep longest in the freezer.
